DMAIC is a process improvement methodology used for improving, optimizing and stabilizing business processes. It is the core tool used to drive Six Sigma projects and it can be used as the framework for other processes improvement. The purpose of DMAIC is to clearly identify the business problem, goal, potential resources and solutions, project scope, project timeline and clear KPIs.

DMAIC is an abbreviation of 5 steps as below:

1- Define : Define the problem

2- Measure : Understand the current state/process

3- Analyze : Identify the potential root cause

4- Improve : Implement and verify solution

5- Control : Adjust and maintain the process
